GUJRANWALA: District administration once again has to stop the operation against illegal constructions, after Lahore High Court (LHC) issued a stay order on Friday. The operation was being carried out against illegal construction on state land, acquired for a Zoo. The stay order was given by LHC on the request of an occupier. It is important to be noted here that operation was stopped earlier too, almost three days ago when Civil Court Gujranwala issued a stay order. But after hearing the concerned department, civil court rejected the orders and the operation was allowed to carry on. Principal, three teachers injured in fight At least four teachers, including a school principal injured in fight between a teacher and school principal. It was reported that Ejaz, principal of a private school located at Sialkot Road, had a fight with his school teacher Aqeel, which resulted in the injuries of the principal, Aqeel and other two teachers. Satellite town police has started investigating the matter. 14-year-old passer-by injured in cross firing A 14 years old boy named Ali Hamza, received a crossing bullet while crossing the road in Gujranwala. The boy received a bullet when a man named Azmat, opened fire at his rival at Kashmir Road Gujranwala. It was reported that Azmat resident of Abdullah Colony had a quarrel with another person, which resulted in firing.
