QUETTA: The Awami National Party (ANP) declared on Sunday to support the Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) in the formation of the Provincial government. The newly elected member of the Balochistan Assembly Asghar Khan Achakzai made the announcement at BAP’s office in Quetta. The president of ANP’s Balochistan chapter stated that their party was ready to form the alliance in the province. Achakzai said that they have decided to form a collision with BAP for the interest of province and for the people of Balochistan. He added, “BAP will sincerely fight for the legitimate rights of Balochistan under China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and it would work to remove the backwardness of the province.” On the other hand, BAP president Jam Kamal upheld that some independent candidates are also willing to form the government and their party is contacting other parties’ MPAs to form the government in the province. Jam Kamal is the expected CM of Balochistan.
