Tehran: An earthquake of 5.9 in Iran’s southern provinces wreaked caused considerable damage to dozens of building and homes. Around 300 people have been reported to be injured. The President of Iran’s Bilal Ahmer Society, Murtaza Saleem has said that because the intensity of the earthquake wasn’t that much, serious damage was avoided. However, he also said that there were reports of some walls collapsing but these reports are currently under inquiry. The injured have been shifted to nearest hospitals and are being treated.
