ISLAMABAD: The suicide bomber who killed more than 150 people including an election candidate last week in Mastung has been identified. The Inspector General Police (IGP) Mohsin Butt on Thursday informed the standing committee of Senate that the bomber was identified as Hafiz Nawaz hailing from Abbotabad. The IG further said that the bomber had connections with the banned Lashkar-e-Jhangvi. However, the IS has already claimed the responsibility for the attack. Moreover, the standing committee was told that Da’aish (IS), which has established a strong presence in Afghanistan, is carrying out terrorist activities in Balochistan. Last week in the attack , Nawab Siraj Durrani –the younger brother of former Chief Minister Nawab Aslam Raisani was amongst the victims of the attack.
