LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N) disgruntled leader Zaeem Qadri on Thursday announced that he would contest general elections 2018 from NA-133 in independent capacity.

Qadri announced his decision in a press conference after party leadership refused to give him a National Assembly ticket.

Lambasting former chief minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shehbaz, Qadri said Lahore was not their personal property. “I can’t polish Hamza’s boot,” said Qadri.

Earlier today, PML-N leaders Khawaja Saad Rafique and Rana Mashhood visited the disgruntled leader at his home to placate him.

PML-N leadership has decided to field another candidate in the constituency Qadri wanted to contest the election from.
