DADU: A senior and influential Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Ali Hassan Hakro on Friday joined Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) with his supporters at the residence of Liaquat Ali Jatoi at Betto Jatoi Village in the district of Dadu. Hakro carried out a big rally with his supporters while joining PTI. Reportedly, Hakro held a meeting with Jatoi and announced to join PTI in a joint press conference. “Influential politicians of Sindh are joining the caravan of PTI led by Imran Khan,” Jatoi said during the press conference while accusing PPP of committing pre-poll rigging in Sindh. He asserted that all officials of district administrations in Sindh have been supporting PPP candidates. He claimed that PPP candidates are pressurising the general public to cast their votes to them in the upcoming general elections. “Former PPP ministers enjoy full protocol and display weapons in their respective constituencies,” he alleged while demanding higher authorities to remove district officials from their posts, who have been supporting PPP. He expressed hope that PTI would emerge victorious in the upcoming general elections 2018. “PTI candidates are contesting elections against PPP from every constituency of Sindh,” he revealed while adding that Imran Khan had pledged to the people of Sindh that he would get rid of corrupt politicians. He claimed that PTI has been striving for a ‘prosperous’ Sindh, and people are supporting Imran Khan due to his fight against corruption and feudalism. Later, he appealed Chief Election Commissioner (CEC), Chief of Army Staff (CAS) and Chief Justice of Supreme Court of Pakistan to take notice of violation of the code of conduct for general elections.
