LAHORE: The Punjab University (PU) on Monday awarded PhD degrees to four scholars after approval of their thesis in various subjects. The PU awarded PhD degrees to Feroz Kabir s/o Anisur Rahman in the subject of Molecular Biology after approval of his thesis titled “Molecular Characterisation of Inherited Retinitis Pigmentosum”. Muhammad Sohail Anjum s/o Muhammad Bashir was awarded a PhD degree in the subject of Molecular Biology after approval of his thesis titled Role of Preconditioned Stem Cells in Alleviating Hyperglycemic Stress, Arooj Naseer d/o Naseer Ahmed Sandhu in the subject of Botany after approval of her thesis titled “A Study of Fungal Communities Associated with Oak Forests of Swat and Dir Districts, KPK, Pakistan”. Meanwhile, Sultan Shujja s/o Sultan Ghani was awarded PhD degree in the subject of Clinical Psychology after approval of his thesis entitled “Parental-Peer Rejection, Social Competence and Psychological Adjustment of Adolescents”.
