The Sindh Rangers on Sunday recovered a cache of arms and ammunition buried underground during an intelligence based operation (IBO).
The Rangers on an intelligence tip-off conducted the operation in Raja Wali Muhammad Goth of Old Golimar in Karachi. During the operation, the paramilitary troops recovered three sub machine guns (SMGs), 12 magazines, two Aawan bombs and over 2,500 bullets of different bores. The arms and ammunition had been buried underground by miscreants.
Security sources said that the cache of arms and ammunition was hidden by miscreants affiliated with Uzair Baloch group of Lyari gang war. They said it could have been hidden so that it could be recovered and used for terrorist activities whenever needed.
