GUJRANWALA: Two robbers were arrested on Wednesday in an alleged police encounter at Jagna Market on Jinnah road in Gujranwala. Reportedly, two armed men entered a general store and snatched money from shop owners and customers. Consequently, the Dolphin Force squad rushed to the spot to confront the robbers. They opened fire on the squad while in retaliation a robber named Talal received bullet wounds and fell down unconsciously. Meanwhile, the injured was shifted to a hospital after they were arrested by the squad. Anti-Corruption arrests five land mafia members The Anti-Corruption establishment arrested five members of a land mafia from Gujrat. Reportedly, a citizen Umer Hayyat filed an application that accused stamp vendor Muhammad Atif and his accomplices Muhammad Javed, Allah Ditta, Ansar Ayub and Muhammad Iqbal of preparing a bogus stamp paper to transfer the ownership of 89-Kanals of land and a house to them illegally.
