KARACHI: The greenback closed flat in value against the rupee in the interbank while depressed in open market, treasurers and currency dealers said. It started the day’s trading at Rs 115.50 for buying and closed at same level for buying and Rs 115.70 for selling in interbank. The euro witnessed dull trend against rupee as it closed at Rs 137 for buying, after shedding 89 paisas and closed at Rs 137.20 for selling. The pound sterling remained dull against domestic currency as it initiated the day’s trading at Rs 156.55 for buying and closed at Rs 156 for buying and Rs 156.20 for selling after shedding 55 paisas. Open market: The dollar remained dull against the rupee, dealers said. It started the day’s trading at Rs 117.60 for buying and closed at Rs 117.50 for buying after 10 paisas downward variation in value and stood at Rs 117.70 for selling. The euro remained dull versus the rupee as it started day’s trading at Rs 140 for buying and with 50 pasias change in value it closed at Rs 139.50 for buying and at Rs 139.70 for selling. The pound remained flat against the rupee as it started the day’s trading at Rs 158.50 for buying, closed unchanged in value for buying and closed at Rs 158.70 for selling.
