Students protest against non-issuance of roll number slips The female of Government Degree College Women (GDCW) Noshera Virkan students staged a protest in front of college building against the principal over non-issuance of their roll number slips for the intermediate examinations. They alleged that they were unable to sit for the exams despite the fact that they paid admission fee to the college administration. Contrarily, the Principal of GDCW claims that the admission forms of all students were sent to education board but the board authorities raised objections on missing form requirements by some students and informed them via SMS. The concerned students did not inform the college administration after receiving SMS due to which their objections could not be resolved in due time. Meanwhile, the students await roll number slips to sit for the examinations. CPO inaugurates Digital Learner Licence Branch The City Police Officer (CPO) Ashfaq Khan on Tuesday inaugurated a Digital Learner License Branch at Jinnah Stadium in Gujranwala. While addressing the ceremony, the CPO urged to implement traffic rules for reducing accidents and said motorists must use seat belt and helmets, respectively. The senior superintendent of police (SSP) operation Imran Yaqoob, city traffic officer (CTO) Ghulam Abbas Tarrar, DSP Maqsood Ahmed and traffic wardens participated in the ceremony. “One-wheeling is not only a violation of traffic law but a serious crime and the practice would be dealt with iron hands,” he asserted adding that they shall be sent behind bars instead of issuance of only ‘challans’.
