KHYBER AGENCY: All preparations have been finalized in Khyber Agency to conduct 6th population census to be scheduled on 25 April in the second phase of the census. Population census of six agencies and six frontier regions would take place in the second phase while census of one tribal agency, Orakzai agency has been in progress in the first phase, official sources. Jahan Zeb, representative of Pakistan Bureau of Statistic in Khyber Agency while sharing details said that all arrangements had been finalized to conduct census in Khyber Agency to be initiated on April 25. Chalking out strategy for the purpose he maintained that the areas had been split into 670 blocks and 25 circles had been formed to do the job smoothly. Four officials had been appointed as center chargers and 433 persons had been trained who were ready to carry out their duties in better way, Jahan Zeb remarked. The official further added that mostly of the data collectors had been hired from the education department and the forces would provide foolproof security to all of the census teams. In his public message, he urged the tribesmen to take part in the up-coming population census by practically enroll themselves in the counting process because all the future development projects, funds and allocation of extra-parliament seats decide as per population of the area. It is worth mention here that the 6th population census of Pakistan has been carried out in two parts. In first phase, started from March 15, it has been carrying out in 16 districts of Punjab, 8 districts of Sindh,14 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkwa,15 districts of Baluchistan,5 districts of Azad Jammu and Kashmir,5 districts of Gilgit- Baltistan and one agency of Federally Administered Tribal Area(Fata) and in the second part,the rest of the areas would be covered.
