KARACHI: Former Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM)’s leader Saleem Shahzad has been booked in two more cases related to kidnapping, wrongful confinement and rioting.
The anti-terrorism court-II Judge allowed an application of the police seeking his arrest from prison in the cases.

However, two investigating officers moved applications seeking a no objection certificate from court to arrest him from prison in two more cases.
According to them, Shehzad was a proclaimed offender in two cases lodged in 1992 at Malir and Landhi police stations pertaining to kidnapping, wrongful confinement, criminal intimidation and rioting.

Shahzad along with Karachi mayor-designate Waseem Akhtar and MPA Rauf Siddiqui and Abdul Qadir Patel of the Pakistan Peoples Party, and Anis Qaimkhani of Pak Sarzameen Party had been nominated as co-accused in the case.
