ISLAMABAD: Beaconhouse School System-North on Monday held its Annual High Achievers Ceremony to applaud and honour the hard work put in by its students for their conspicuous achievements in Cambridge International, Matriculation and International Baccalaureate Examinations. The achievements to celebrate entailed 61 distinctions nationwide, with the northern region attaining #1 position in the world, two national distinctions and and 16 national distinctions north. High achievers comprised 17,254 A graders in Ordinary and Advanced Levels nationwide. Furthermore, Beaconhouse Access Centre has successfully attained 11,900 cumulative placements in national and international universities including Oxford University accompanied with Rs 13.4 billion in scholarships for their students over the past four years. The event was graced with the presence of Guest of Honour BSS North Executive Director Nassir Kasuri along with Concordia Colleges North Project Director Amina Wattoo Kasuri. Other distinguished guests were Cambridge Assessment International Education Country Director Uzma Yousaf, British Council Pakistan Deputy Director James Hampson, Afghanistan Embassy Cultural Attache Abdul Rehman Habib Zai, British Council Examination Director Hassan Khattak, Tajikistan Ambassador Jonovo Sher Ali, Inter Board Committee of Chairmen former secretary Ramazan Achakzai, British Council Exams Operations Director Imtiaz Razvi, National Accountability Bureau Director General Irfan Mangi and British Council Head of Study Saman Imtiaz. Nassir Kasuri delivered the keynote address. He congratulated the students on their eminent achievements and lauded those who worked remarkably hard all year and achieved these fantastic results. He also congratulated the proud parents and teachers who spared no effort to probe the hidden talent in the students entrusted to them. Medals, shields and certificates were received by the high achievers from all the guests of honour. Students performed a variety of vibrant acts to entertain the attendees. The event was indeed a cherishable acknowledgement of the students’ commendable achievements. The students of BSS continue their legacy of making Pakistan proud!
