LAHORE: The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) sealed various factories and sales points over substandard production and sale of food items in various cities on Sunday. PFA spokesman said that the authority sealed a pickle factory in Qadirpur area of Multan and seized over 20,000 kilograms of substandard pickle, 1,200 kilograms of poor quality and impure spices and rotten fruits. During an operation in Tollinton Market in Lahore, the PFA sealed two poultry centres over poor cleanliness and selling unhealthy chicken. The PFA seized and disposed of 1,300 liters of poor quality milk from a milk shop. The authority sealed the shop. Published in Daily Times, April 16th 2018.
