LAHORE: In the wake of the firing incident at Supreme Court (SC) Judge Justice Ijazul Ahsan’s residence, the PTI Chairman Imran Khan said that ‘sicilian-mafia-like’ tactics to pressurise the judiciary would not be accepted. Unknown gunmen opened fire at Justice Ijaz’s residence in Model Town in two separate incidents – one of which took place around 10:45pm on Saturday and the other at 9:10am on Sunday. No casualties were reported. “PTI stands firmly behind the Judiciary, Rule of Law and this is one reason behind our 29th April Minar-i-Pakistan jalsa,” Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said in a Twitter message on Sunday. He added that ‘sicilian-mafia-like’ tactics to scare the judiciary would not be accepted and that it is against the democratic values.
