Pakistani band Strings is celebrating its 30th anniversary in the Pakistani music industry with the release of its brand new album titled 30. This new album is a collection of eight new tracks. ‘Sajni’, the first song from the dynamic record, managed to sweep the hearts of fans last month. And now, the duo has released their second offering from 30, Urr Jaoon. Sung by Bilal Maqsood and directed by Jami, Urr Jaoon shows little girls clad in black with pigtails, setting up a delicious meal at the dining table and serving food to the elite class. Guests at the table include Faisal Kapadia amongst other. The girls are awaiting their call. As soon as Faisal drops his cutlery, one girl rushes to him with a clean replacement. Looking at his reflection in the steel spoon, Faisal soon comes to the realisation that the unfortunate are humans too and deserve to be treated the same way. In a live YouTube session for the countdown of the song, the band discussed that the shoot was “a lot of fun” indeed. Faisal and Bilal also mentioned, “We want to give equal importance to all the songs which is why we don’t want to release them all together.” Urr Jaoon speaks of keeping your head held high and fighting through all that life throws in your way. Combined with its uplifting lyrics and impeccable visuals and tunes, it makes for a melodic treat which talks about giving respect to people from different backgrounds and financial standings.
