Mother strangles children to death in Lahore

LAHORE: Three children were found strangled to death on Saturday by the police in Askari XI near Bedian Road Lahore.

The police after arriving at the crime scene, suspected the children’s mother as the killer, who claimed that the killing has been done by a friend. However, the mother’s state at the crime scene showed blood marks on both her wrists.

The police investigating the crime scene and the children’s family said that there is a possibility that the mother is suffering from mental disabilities, which were obvious by her state. Police also revealed that the mother recently got divorced.

The police have sent the bodies for post-mortem.

The police revealed that Parents killing children over a domestic dispute has been an increasing observance in Pakistan lately. In December last year, two such cases were reported, one on December 2, when a mother suffocated her children in Sakhekhi area near Hafizabad due to poverty and on December 10, a Father had killed his two-year-old daughter after an argument with his wife.
