‘Call’ never fails to impress us. The talented band has released a heartfelt anthem titled ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ for Pakistan Day. The song pays homage to Pakistan and was released on Friday. This isn’t the first time ‘Call’ has created a patriotic melody that resonates with masses. They outshined themselves a month ago with the surprising rock infused Pashtun track ‘Hum Zalmi’ for Pakistan Super League (PSL). Produced by Zulfiqar Jabbar Khan, the music video of ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ was shot in Lahore at Bradlaugh Hall, a cultural hub subject to intense mismanagement in the past. It was an excellent initiative taken by ‘Call’ and the management team to utilize Bradlaugh Hall and resuscitate the dying heritage. The incentive behind the track was to portray a unifying image of Pakistan. 40 talented drummers were approached for this project and it took nearly 10 hours to complete the music video Producer Zulfiqar J. Khan, known best as Xulfi, spoke about the project and said, “As Pakistanis, there is no chant that feels more fulfilling than screaming Pakistan Zindabad!” A lot of effort has been put into this song; 40 talented drummers were approached for this project and it took nearly 10 hours to complete the music video. The amazing shoot sets an example of power and patriotism and it is the dedication that made it possible. Reportedly, the percussionists were energized throughout the one day shoot and their passion and hard work will reflect in the highly anticipated music video. Junaid Khan, the lead vocalist of the band, also shared some details regarding the song. “I think it is high time that we release something nationalistic as we, the band members, are patriotic ourselves. We wanted to express our sentiments in the song and the best time to launch it was on a national day.” Some of the zealous drummers were Zeeshan, Samad, Zubair, Kashif, Sharoon, Zaigham, Kenny, Gumby and Mishal among many other unsung heroes,” he said. The singer turned actor, Junaid Khan, added that the band had been working on the track’s composition for a while but have been waiting for the right moment. He also commented, “We are so happy that the drum fraternity voluntarily took part in this project and I am hopeful that we will create history with this track.” Published in Daily Times, March 24th 2018.
