Afghanistan terrorism

Author: Daily Times

Sir: Terrorists have targeted Afghan security forces once again. This Sunday, the Taliban attacked security posts in the north-west of Kabul, killing five policemen.Meanwhile, a roadside bomb in the country’s Ghor area killed a young shepherd and injured five others. This has happened a day after Afghan President Ashraf Ghani offered an olive branch to Pakistani authorities, in the hopes of fighting with us in the war on terror. The Pakistani authorities must accept Ghanis offer, and work with Afghanistan and the US to fight the menace of terrorism. Pakistanis know this pain all too well.

Furthermore, as long as there is chaos in Afghanistan, Pakistan will suffer as well. We must be united in this long and difficult struggle which has taken so many lives.
