After almost a decade since they last released a studio album, Strings are back with a bang with their new single Sajni, which was released earlier on Saturday.

Directed by renowned filmmaker Yasir Jaswal, the music video features Faisal Kapadia and Bilal Maqsood dressed in their insignia suits, with flashes of colour adding a brand new spice to an already magical experience.

The single, which is part of Strings’ album titled 30, captures the real essence of what the band is all about.

Prior to the release of the single, band members Faisal Kapadia and Bilal Masood held a Facebook live session to announce release of the song and their future course of action.

Lead Guitarist Bilal Maqsood revealed that the band has titled the album 30 to mark three decades of Strings in the music industry. The band is planning to compose a total of eight songs in 2018 which would be part of the album.

Upon a question regarding the band’s decision to part ways with Coke Studio, Vocalist Faisal Kapadia said that the band was initially contracted for season 7 and 8 of the music mela.

Later, he added, the band was given extension for season 9 and 10, but since 2018 is an important year for Strings, the band would put all its energy into creating something unique for the general public.
