nabISLAMABAD: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Rawalpindi has arrested Yasir Aziz who is accused of corruption worth billions of rupees in the modarba case and cheating public at large in the ploy of Islamic mode of investment. As per details, the accused is actively involved in cheating the public at large in the poly crime of taking money from people for investment. The accused acted as finance secretary of M/s Elixir Group and signed the modarbat namas issued by the director Shahid Aziz. The members of public at large alleged in their claims that the accused Yasir Aziz took the investment and aided his real brother to misappropriate the money. The accused Yasir also tried to sell the properties owned by the accused Shahid Aziz. NAB Rawalpindi Director General Irfan Naeem Mangi has said that NAB is committed to eradicate corruption from the country under the dynamic leadership of NAB Chairman Justice (r) Javed Iqbal so that the motherland could achieve the dream of a corruption free Pakistan as NAB strongly believes in the “Accountability for All” policy against corruption.
