Peace in Karachi vital for country’s stability, says COAS

KARACHI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Thursday said that the peace in Karachi was vital for the country’s stability and security.

According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Bajwa visited Karachi Corps HQ and Malir Garrison today.

COAS was given a briefing on the security situation of the province especially Karachi and operational preparedness of the Corps, read the statement.

“COAS hailed performance of Pakistan Rangers Sindh in maintaining improved security in the metropolitan,” it added.

COAS further said that the efforts would continue to maintain peace in the economic hub of the country.

He also appreciated officers of Malir Garrison for their professional excellence towards defence and security of the country.
