QUETTA: The Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) Balochistan Football Cup 2017 looks for a competitive game ahead, as eight best teams out of 12 will contest in quarter-finals from March 28.
Quetta City, Lasbela, Panjgur, Turbat, Chaman, Nushki, Kharan and DFA Quetta will play four quarter-finals on March 28 and 29 on a knock-out basis. Four winning teams will play semi-finals on March 31 followed by finals on April 2 at the Ayub Stadium, Quetta.
Earlier on the sixth day, two matches – Loralai versus Panjgur and Kharan versus Chaman – resulted into draw. A medium paced game was exhibited by both Loralai in blue and Panjgur wearing yellow with a score of 2-2 at the Sadiq Shaheed Football Stadium, Quetta.
Muhammad Saleem of Loralai received the man of the match award from the chief guest, Zahid Hamid.
A slow paced match was played at the same venue between Kharan and Chaman in which neither side could score a goal. Goalkeeper Akhlaq Shah of Kharan team received the man of the match prize from Pakistan Sports Board Director Imran Yousaf.
