Gujranwala: City Police Officer Ashfaq Khan has said that no one will be allowed to play with lives and properties of the citizens and strict action will be taken against those found involved in kite flying, aerial firing and fireworks. Addressing a gathering at Mukarram Mosque, he said that strict action would be taken against aerial firing during weddings and other events. The CPO said that the police would take every step to protect the lives of the citizens. He said that the people should also cooperate with police for maintaining the law and order in the society. He appealed to parents to keep an eye on their children and keep them away from bloody games. In a separate incident, a speeding tractor-trolley crushed a boy in Faisal Colony on Friday. It was said that 12-year-old Mudassar was playing in the street when a speeding tractor-trolley ran over him. Meanwhile, dozens of residents of Haidri Road staged a protest in front of Sui Gas office over low gas pressure. The protesters chanted slogans against officials concerned.
