KARACHI: The greenback remained flat in value against the rupee in the interbank and gained value in open market. It started the day’s trading at Rs 110.30 for buying and closed at Rs 110.30 for buying and closed at Rs 110.50 for selling. Better inflow of forex and dull demand from corporate and private sector put rupee firm. The euro stood steady against rupee as it started the day’s trading at Rs 135.52 for buying, with upward correction by 08 paisas it closed at Rs 135.60 for buying and at Rs 135.80 for selling. The pound sterling remained down against the local currency as it initiated the day’s trading at Rs 152.87 for buying, after 21 paisas downward change closed at Rs 152.66 for buying and Rs 153.07 for selling. Open market: The dollar remained plus in value against the rupee. It started the trading at Rs 111.40 for buying, closed at Rs 111.60 for buying after 20 paisas change and closed at Rs 111.80 for selling. The euro remained firm against the rupee as it started the day’s trading at Rs 135.75 for buying and closed for buying at Rs 136.25, gaining 50 paisas and closed at Rs 136.45 for selling. The pound stood dull against the rupee as it started the day’s trading at Rs 154.50, down by 50 paisas and closed at Rs 154 for buying and closed at Rs 154.20 for selling.
