LAHORE: The National Highways and Motorway Police (NH&MP) have launched a three-day comprehensive awareness drive against vehicles with tinted glass and fancy number plates. During his visit to the Zonal Office to review the campaign on Friday, NHMP DIG Mirza Faran Baig said that vehicles with tinted glasses would not be allowed to ply national highways and motorways and strict action would be taken against owners of such vehicles after the three-day awareness drive. “Such vehicles will be impounded and a heavy fine will also be imposed in case of violation,” he added. He said that operation against tinted glass vehicles would be carried out without any discrimination. He directed NH&MP officials to remove sun blinders from the vehicles after the campaign.
