Coca-Cola Food and Music Festival was held at Lake City Golf and Country club from February 2 to 4. The main attraction at the 2nd Coke Festival was Fifa World Cup trophy which was publicly displayed on the last day of the event. Football fans were excited to see the world cup trophy in their hometown. The festival attracted more than 12,000 foodies. Apart from food, there was music to keep the visitors amused. There was a traffic mess on the roads of Lahore during the event, but as usual, Lahoris remain undeterred and showed up in great numbers – making the event a great success. A number of stalls were selling home-cooked food and most of them were managed by women. The festival gave an opportunity to aspiring chefs to sell their food along with big brands under the same roof – and none of them failed to impress! Many eateries from the previous edition of Coke Fest came back to keep the taste buds busy. Coke Food Festival Lahore offered all of the season’s firm flavours ranging from a mélange of traditional Desi to Continental, Asian, Italian and Turkish. With more than 80 stalls, people certainly had a hard time deciding what to try first. Singers were also present on the occasion to entertain the public. Strings stole the show with a great performance. The brilliant selection of singers from coke studio included Quratulain Balouch, Quadrum, Sahara UK, Sahir Ali Bagga, Ali Sethi, Aima Baig. Aagha Ali also gave his first ever live performance. Security is always one of the prime concerns during such events. Elite forces had made strict security measures and individuals without families were not being allowed to enter. The ambiance was phenomenal and most eateries had their own décor at their stalls. Lahoris came out with their families to enjoy their weekend because who doesn’t like having good food along with great music?
