LARKANA: The Senior Civil Judge and Judicial Magistrate Ratodero, Muhammad Ali Ruk visiting Maternity Home of Naudero found it locked. He got it opened and visited every room. He was told that Maternity Home would be converted into a Cardiology Ward. He found heaps of garbage inside building and unused medicines in store. On verification it was revealed that most of drugs were expired and unusable. He immediately called District Health Officer, Larkana, but he did not attend phone. The judge ordered burning of expired medicines and usable medicines were handed over to the Medical Superintendent of Rural Health Centre Naudero, Dr Imdad Ghangro. The Civil Judge directed him to shift all medical equipment and other usable items to rural health centre so that government funds could be properly utilised instead of being wasted. Construction work of Trauma Center was continuing at same place despite passage of time and Maternity Home was being converted into Cardiology Ward after it’s repair and renovation.
