Gujranwala: Senior auditors of the district accounts office Gujranwala were held red handed by anti-corruption team while receiving a bribe here on Thursday. Regional director Fareed Ahmed stated that a teacher Farman Ali submitted an application that senior auditors Muhammad Mushtaq and Hamayun Bashir were demanding a bribe from him to issue him his pay slip after an up-gradation. On the application circle officer anti-corruption along with a special judicial magistrate Imtiaz Ali Baig raided the accounts office and held both the officials while receiving bribe from the teacher. Two injured in crossfire shooting:Two were injured including a college girl in cross fire here at Hafizabad Road, Gujranwala. It was reported that two shopkeepers of Hafizabad Road had a fight over money started firing at each other, resultantly two passersby including a first year student 17 years old Sonya and an unknown person received bullet wounds and were rushed to DHQ hospital. Baghbanpura Police have started investigations. Pioneering gastro procedure conducted:First capsule endoscopy experiment has successfully been conducted in the gastroenterology department of DHQ Hospital, Gujranwala. Professor Dr. Noman Gillani while talking to the media said that such type of an experiment is the first example in our country, which could be helpful in diagnosing all kinds of diseases relates to the small and large intestine. He said through this procedure doctors can examine those parts of the intestine which were out of reach of endoscope and colonoscopy.
