Sir: Afghanistan has seen a new wave of terrorism in recent days that has shaken the country to its core, despite the fact that it has already been ravaged by years of conflict. Shockingly, almost 130 people have been killed in four attacks over the past nine days. Numerous innocent people have been gravely injured as well. Afghanistan has blamed Pakistan for these attacks, while Pakistan itself remained in the grip of terrorism for many years. In spite of this, Pakistan offered Afghanistan the opportunity to cooperate in a Joint Investigation into the terror attacks. Instead of blaming each other for such terror attacks, Pakistan and Afghanistan need to engage in concrete cooperation and provide assistance to each other in order to uproot the menace of terrorism.
