Sir: In recent decades, we have seen our society’s women progressing outside the home while domestic concerns are dealt with by servants and household electronics. Working women, particularly the upcoming lot — feel alleviated about their strength in staying away from the domestic concerns. Well this isn’t the case; if you want to be truly self-sufficient, then you need to satisfy your hunger all by yourself. Countless of women learnt home economics from the late cooking expert, Zubaida Tariq by following her cooking shows. There is still a dire need for some beings like her to educate people so that they can improve their domestic living standards, as any society begins from home. Home economics not only involves the kitchen but the way one manages all aspects of the home. Years ago, this heritage of home economics was delivered from generation to generation, from mother to daughter. Things should definitely modernize, but all traditions should not be forgotten.
