Gujranwala: Anti-corruption authorities have arrested two revenue officials including a patwari and a land record center official here on Tuesday. Regional Director Anti-corruption Fareed Ahmed said that a citizen Ali Hussain gave an application that a patwari Sabir revenue circle Panjgaran has received a bribe of Rs 60 thousands for possession of “Shamlat” land. After an enquiry, allegations leveled against him were proven and circle officer Sialkot has arrested patwari Sabir. Meanwhile an anti-corruption team has also arrested SCO of land record center Saddar Gujranwala for the issuing of “Fard” to irrespective person. It was said that a citizen Ghulam Rasool alleged that SCO Faisal Mehmood has fraudulently issued the Fard of his land to a person having same name and parentage. While after approval of Director General anti-corruption Punjab officer Gujranwala has arrested the said accused and started investigations. Human traffickers arrested : FIA teams in different raids have arrested three more human traffickers here on Tuesday. Deputy director Mufakhir Adeel said that FIA teams have conducted raids at Mandi Baha ud Din, Phalia and Sheikhupura and arrested three accused namely Muhammad Azam, Muhammad Afzal and Sarfraz. All the accused were involved in human trafficking illegally. Meanwhile CIA police have arrested two members of a dacoit gang and recovered illegal arms and cash from them. DSP CIA Imran Abbas Chadhar stated that accused Akram Malik and Shahid Ali Minhas were involved in dozens of dacoity and robbery incidents while in preliminary investigation it was revealed that this gang is involved in criminal activities in various cities of the Punjab, both accused were also wanted to Dera Ghazi Khan Police in robbery incidents.
