HYDERABAD: Keeping current scenario of Sindh and efforts tackled by progressive figures, intellectuals and social engines of society, a youth based social organisation Khadmain Sindh Foundation organised ‘1st Sindh Youth Peace Summit’ in collaboration with Pakistan Youth Alliance and co-hosted by Sindh Talented Students (STS) at Mumtaz Mirza Auditorium, Sindh Museum Hyderabad. A large number of youth, social activists, journalists, civil society members and intellectuals actively participated in the programme and shared their thoughts and innovative ideas for peace building on ground level. Vishal Anand said that Sindh is the land of sufi saints and especially youth should have to follow footprints of such mysticism ideological figures to be a realistic. “Hyderabad is the hub of education as well as literary wisdom, that’s why decided to arrange such event in this particular framework, according to number of participation I can assure that youth is the only ray of our hopes and can play their role easily”, he added. Not only geopolitical activities have changed the minds of youth but religious extremism is another chapter of this position, human trafficking and street crime are not only reason behind scene of unbearable condition but ratio of unemployment is increasing with passage of time and uncountable figure of graduated youth from higher position is still waiting for response of job and alternatives are illegal activities which are also barrier in community development and peace promotion. The event was featured in various categories like panel discussion, theatre performance, peace songs and folk music performance. In conversation with Daily Times, founder STS, Nadir Hussain Chandio said that verses of Shah Abdul Lateef, Abdul Kareem Bulri Waro, Sachal Sarmast, Kanwar Ram Bhagat and their philosophy should be read and understand by every youngster as they all were real images for all aged people. Chandio said that through this summit engagement of different community people and their emergence made it possible that it was easy to share a bit of meal to any other without discriminating them on behalf of caste and colour. Experts in social sector discussed role of religious leaders and youth in peace building in panel sessions. Representative of Bheel Intellectual Forum, Bhagchand Bheel, Guru Kul Baba Raj Kumar, Dr Ahmed Soomro, Hussain Shah, Asad Darazi, Muzamil Akram, Rajesh Kumar, Fatima Rind and Qurat-ul-Ain actively participated and shared their visionary experience and contribution to large number of masses.
