Sir: It goes without saying that, water is one of the most valueable substances on earth. All organisms need it for their survival. The earth would turn into hell if there were no water. It is the lifeline that sustains humans as well as all the flora and fauna on earth. The anthropological studies reveal that water symbolized the very essence of life in the ancient civilization. The Romans are said to be the first ones to have used plumbing to transport water by means of aqueducts. The Romans also came to the realization of the adverse effects of the sewage water, and made an arrangement of dumping it somewhere away from the population. Sadly, the government in Pakistan hasn’t been able to learn this tiny detail more than two millennia after the fall of the Roman civilization.
