Mithi: District Council Tharparkar has passed a resolution in councils on 20th December, 2017 regarding the employment of local people in Thar Coal project currently executed by ENGRO Coal Mining Company, where it is reported that majority of recruited employees belong to places other than Tharparkar District. In this connection it is noted that the said company neither respects the resolution of the elected district council by clearing their position nor has it started to present their recruitment policy. Following the continuous injustice with the qualified and skilled local workforce in the recruitment process at the Coal Mining Company District Council Tharparkar has called its session on 24th of January, 2018 where elected representative District Council will revice their strategy to protest against ENGRO Coal Mining Company at District level. Mr. Ghulam Hyder Samejo, Chairman District Council Tharparkar has expressed in his statement that the ENGRO Coal Mining Company is continuously ignoring the local people in every walk of recruitment and development, who are locals and sons of the soil. He further stated that we wonder if this company has no respect to the resolution of the District Council, they never even bothered to share the details and revisit their recruitment policies.
