Heads turned when Pakistan fashion was exhibited on foreign soil. Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena, along with Commerce Minister Muhammad Parvez Malik and High Commissioner of Pakistan in Sri Lanka, Shahid Ahmad Hashmat, inaugurated the 3rd edition of Pakistan Single Country Exhibition in Colombo on Saturday. People were seen thronging the premises to get their hands on the latest designer wear and jewellery brought in all the way from Pakistan. The exhibition will remain open until today (Sunday) for the general public The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), in association with the High Commission of Pakistan in Sri Lanka, organised the exhibition which gave countless Pakistani designers to showcase their talent to a foreign market, connect with their locals and see what they require and also be able to make their presence felt in a larger sphere. The exhibition featured leading Pakistani companies and manufacturers of textile, clothing and designer wear. Shahid Ahmad Hashmat said that the exhibition was aimed at promoting and strengthening Sri Lanka and Pakistan’s trading ties. The exhibition gave countless Pakistani designers to showcase their talent to a foreign market, connect with their locals and see what they require and also be able to make their presence felt in a larger sphere. The exhibition featured leading Pakistani companies and manufacturers of textile, clothing and designer wear He expressed the hope that the people of Sri Lanka will not only have the opportunity to witness the varieties of Pakistan’s countless and extremely diverse products but will also enjoy shopping at the exhibition. After the inauguration, Mathripala Sirasena along with ministers and dignitaries visited TDAP’s Composite Display on fashion and different other stalls of the exhibition. People were seen thronging the premises to get their hands on the latest designer wear and jewellery brought in all the way from Pakistan.
