PESHAWAR: Four people, including a woman and her daughter, were killed when a truck ran over a taxi in Ghazikot, Mansehra on Friday. “The speedy truck, on its way to Mansehra from Abbottabad, went out of control, overturned and crushed a cab, injuring four persons,” Mohammad Rafique, the traffic in-charge told reporters at the accident site. He added that all the occupants of the taxi were seriously injured. They were rushed to the King Abdullah Teaching Hospital, where doctors pronounced Saiqa Bibi and her daughter Ariba, 4, and cab driver Bashir and an unidentified woman dead. Kinza, 12, stated to be daughter of Saiqa, received serious injuries and was referred to the Ayub Medical Complex in Abbottabad where her condition was stated to be serious Meanwhile, a boy was killed and three persons including a woman were injured in an exchange of fire between the two rival groups in Seratai area in Upper Dir district on Friday, police and locals said. Mazoom Khan, Station House Officer (SHO) Dir Police Station said that there was a land dispute between the two groups and the clash occurred early in the morning on Friday. He added that an eight-year-old- boy Talha was killed and three persons including a woman sustained injuries. The injured were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital in Dir.
