ISLAMABAD: Islamabad police arrested 21 outlaws, including eight proclaimed offenders, professional alm seekers and recovered arms, drugs and looted valuables during separate actions in the capital on Friday. According to spokesman of Islamabad Police, Sub-Inspector Yaseen Ali arrested Sher Khan and recovered 300 gram heroin from him while ASI Asif Raza nabbed Sher Baz for having stolen mobile phones. Sub-Inspector Muhammad Ashraf from Shehzad town police arrested Waqar for having 30 bore pistol. ASI Mateen Chaudhry from Sabzi Mandi police arrested an Afghan national Said Noor Shah for residing illegally in the country. The Islamabad police arrested eight proclaimed offenders in special crackdown against criminals. Shehzad town police arrested four offenders while Industrial area, Khana, Loi Bher and Kohsar police nabbed one offender each. Nine professional alm seekers were also held during the operations in different areas of the city. Separate cases have been registered against the nabbed persons at concerned police stations and further investigation is underway from them. Separately, a man was injured in a blast due to leakage of gas on Dr Qadeer Road near Chattri Chowk in Rawalpindi Friday morning. Rescue sources said that the blast occurred as a result of leakage of gas from heater placed in the room of the house. The injured was shifted to Holy Family Hospital for treatment.
