People have now started flouting police’s orders to stop at blockades meant to let politicians and VVIPs pass through with ease.
On Friday, angry commuters in Karachi forced traffic police to re-open Shahrah-e-Quaideen, which had been blocked to accommodate VVIP movement.
Separately, the chief justice of Pakistan has taken a suo motu notice of conditions of government-run hospitals in Karachi and sought report from the departments concerned with directives to all medical superintendents to appear in court in person on Jan 13.
He further sought the details as to availability of required qualified doctors and nursing staff.
Meanwhile, the chief justice has also taken a notice of admission to private medical colleges in Sindh and sought a report from authorities concerned with notice for personal appearance, including CEOs, owners of private medical colleges in Karachi and fixed the matter for hearing on Jan 13 (Saturday) at Supreme Court Branch Registry, Karachi.
