LAHORE: The United Nations General Assembly, on Tuesday, adopted Pakistan and Philippines’ resolution for the promotion of peace and harmony in the community through inter-religious dialogue. Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United Nations Maleeha Lodhi said that UN’s adoption of this resolution shows the world’s support for Pakistan’s efforts of eliminating extremism and intolerance from the society. She also said that the resolution promotes the use of dialogue to address issues that cause religious and cultural divide.
