LAHORE: Clerics and leaders of different religious organisations while addressing protest rallies and Friday congregations all over the country to mark “Youm-e-Al-Quds”, underlined that US President Donald Trump was leading the world towards third world war. Protest rallies were held all over Pakistan on the call of Pakistan Ulema Council to condemn decision of US administration to relocate US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. Clerics and leadership of different religious organisations demanded Muslim countries to start political and economic boycott of the US, adding that the US president had intentionally decided to relocate US embassy to Jerusalem to create instability and chaos in Muslim world. Muslim Ummah should take action over this sensitive issue, they said. Pakistan Ulema Council Chairman Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi, while addressing a protest rally and Friday congregation in Lahore, asserted that the US president had put on stake peace of the entire world through his reckless decision. Freedom of Al-Aqsa mosque and protection of Jerusalem was as important and holy for Muslim Ummah as the sanctity and respect of Haramain Al Sharifain, vowed Tahir Ashrafi. He stated that Muslim Ummah rejects decision of US administration and leading forces of Muslim world including Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Turkey and Jordan should play their role to restore Islamic identity of Jerusalem. US President Donald Trump aims to impose war on Muslims, he said, adding that the US administration had been coining excuses to create unrest and instability in Muslim countries. Tahir Ashrafi announced to arrange an all-parties conference next week in Islamabad to highlight this issue and said the conference will be attended by leading political and religious leaders and ambassadors of Muslim countries in Pakistan. Hafiz Tahir Ashrafi also said that if leadership of Muslim Ummah demonstrated silence on the issue of Jerusalem; next time enemies of Islam and Muslims will attack Mecca and Medina. Representatives of Pakistan Ulema Council from all over Pakistan and office-bearers of Wafaq-ul-Masajid Pakistan spoke on the issue at their respective mosques and cities including: Maulana Ayub Safdar in Gujranwala, Maulana Abdul Kareem Nadeem in Rahim Yar Khan, Maulana Tahir Aqeel and Maulana Nauman Hashir in Rawalpindi, Maulana Abdul Hameed Sabri in Islamabad, Maulana Anwarul Haq Mujahid in Multan, Maulana Khurshid Naumani in Bahawalnagar, Mian Rasheed Munir in Sialkot, Maulana Tayyab Gormani in Faisalabad, Maulana Shakeel in Okara, Maulana Muhammad Asghar Khosa in Dera Ghazi Khan and Maulana Azam Farooqi in Karachi.
