DADU: Business community and citizens held a protest rally in Dadu on Friday to protest against the robbery of a petrol pump. Three robbers looted Rs 150,000 from Iqbal Petrol pump in Dadu on Friday. Workers at the petrol pump managed to capture one of the robbers; while his two accomplices managed to escape the scene with cash and other valuables. Talking to journalists, owner of Iqbal Petrol Pump, Mohammad Qasim Khushik said, that three robbers held the petrol pump workers hostage at gun point, and looted Rs 150,000 cash. He said the employees resisted and managed to capture one of the robbers. He said that the robbers, Umer, Usman and Aslam, had earlier tried to extort money from him, threatening to kill his sons if they weren’t paid. He said when he refused to pay the robbers; they came to rob his petrol pump. He said that police was using delaying tactics in lodging an FIR against the robbers. He said that there would be a strike in Dadu, if the FIR was not lodged against the robbers. Published in Daily Times, December 9th 2017.
