Memon reviews facilities for journalists, media houses

An important meeting of the Information Department was held in Karachi under the chairmanship of Senior Minister of Sindh and Provincial Minister for Information, Transport and Mass Transit, Sharjeel Inam Memon.

The meeting was attended by Acting Secretary Information Moiz Pirzada, Director Advertisements Muhammad Yousuf Kaburo, Director Films Hizbullah Memon, and Deputy Director Information Sarang Latif Chandio.

The meeting reviewed the measures and facilities provided by the Sindh government for media houses and journalists. Important decisions were taken regarding the future planning, publicity, and effective utilization of film projects completed under the Information Department. Discussions were also held in detail on the promotion strategy for film projects prepared under the supervision of the Information Department.

Speaking on the occasion, Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon said that the main objective of these film projects is to promote the national narrative and highlight positive trends in society. He added that the Sindh government is taking serious steps for the revival and promotion of the film industry.

He further said that the government wants the true culture, history, and social beauty of Pakistan, especially Sindh, to be presented to the world in a modern and effective manner.

He said that positive and responsible journalism plays a key role in social development Sindh government aims to further strengthen cooperation with media houses and journalists.
