FC man injured in cross-border attack

KHYBER AGENCY: A Frontier Corps (FC) soldier sustained bullet injuries when unidentified militants from the Afghan side of the border opened fire on security forces manning a checkpost in Zakha Khel Bazaar of Landi Kotal tehsil, Khyber Agency.

Security forces, while confirming the incident, said that troops were executing surveillance at the border when one of them was targeted.
The wounded soldier identified as Faqir Gul was shifted to Combined Military Hospital, Peshawar.
In the recent past, cross-border attacks from the Afghan side of the border have claimed lives of scores of security men.
