LAHORE: Indian occupied Kashmir (IoK) on Sunday observed a complete shutdown against the killings of Kashmiris on the name of search operation by Indian forces across the valley. The Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, and Muhammad Yasin Malik gave the call for strike which resulted in a complete shutdown in the valley despite of the strict restrictions imposed by the government to prevent the anti-India protests. All shops and markets were closed, while traffic was off the road. Internet and Railway services were also suspended in the various parts of the territory. The Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, in a statement, said that Pakistan had been making its all-out efforts to implement the UN resolutions for settlement of the Kashmir dispute for the past many decades. He also urged the international human rights organizations to take cognizance of the worsening situation in Kashmir. On the other hand, Indian authorities arrested Hurriyat leader Mukhtar Ahmad Waza and placed another senior leader Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi under house arrest to prevent them from addressing public gatherings.
