LAHORE: The two-day Beaconhouse National College Fair 2017 concluded on Tuesday with the aim to provide students with opportunities for studying at the world’s top educational institutions. Thousands of students belonging to different educational institutions visited the fair for two days. More than 50 international and local universities set up their stalls and provided one-on-one information to the students of Beaconhouse and other institutions. Educational institutions, including the University of Waterloo, University of Alberta and King’s College, from more than 10 countries participated in the event and provided information and opportunities to the students. The event was an initiative of Beaconhouse Access Centre, with an aim to bring together international and national universities under one roof for the benefit of thousands of students in terms of applications, career counselling and exclusive scholarships. Besides international and local varsities and colleges, trained career counsellors from Beaconhouse Access Centre were also present to help the students in channelling their search for a higher education institute keeping in consideration their strengths and interests. While talking to Daily Times, Kamal Nawaz, member of the Beaconhouse management team, said that the event had provided a wonderful platform for students to learn about and get placements in leading universities as per their field of interest.
