The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), conducting 4 operations across the country, recovered as many as 55.678 kilograms of drugs worth more than Rs 9.017 million and arrested 7 suspects, including a women, said an ANF Headquarters spokesman on Saturday.
He informed that 45 ecstasy tablets were recovered from a suspect near a University area on Japan Road, Islamabad.
As many as 850 grams of ice and 2.4 kgs of suspicious powder were recovered from two suspects including a woman near Islamabad Motorway Toll Plaza.
Similarly, 25.2 kgs of hashish were recovered from a vehicle near northern bypass road, Karachi and three accused were arrested.
On Multan Road, near Mansoora, Lahore, 19.2 kgs of opium, 2 kgs of heroin and 6 kgs of hashish were recovered from the possession of an accused.
Cases have been registered against the arrested suspects under the Narcotics Control Act, and further investigations are underway.
