Pakistan’s white-ball vice-captain and star all-rounder Shadab Khan has successfully undergone surgery on his right shoulder in London, as confirmed by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the cricketer himself.
Shadab had been struggling with persistent pain and limited movement in his right shoulder for several weeks, which impacted his performance and training. After multiple medical consultations, doctors advised surgical intervention to prevent long-term damage and ensure a full recovery.
Taking to social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Shadab shared, “Alhamdulillah, the operation was successful. Rehab starts now. Please keep me in your prayers.” He also thanked his fans, team, and doctors for their support during this challenging time.

According to PCB sources, Shadab’s rehabilitation could take between 6 to 12 weeks, depending on how his body responds. As a result, he will miss Pakistan’s upcoming tours of Bangladesh and the West Indies. His availability for the Asia Cup 2025 — a key tournament in Pakistan’s calendar — remains uncertain and will depend on his fitness and recovery speed.
Fans, fellow cricketers, and sports analysts have poured in wishes for his speedy recovery, as Pakistan will sorely miss his all-round abilities and leadership in the upcoming international fixtures.
