Two dead, two hurt in bus-trailer collision on M-3

At least two people were killed and two others injured when a passenger bus collided with a trailer on the M-3 Motorway near Nankana Sahib early Friday morning, according to a Motorway Police spokesperson. As per initial reports, Motorway police indicate that the accident occurred due to the bus driver’s drowsiness, causing the vehicle to crash into a trailer that was either parked or moving ahead and killed two on the spot, private news channel reported. Rescue teams quickly arrived at the scene and shifted the injured to the nearest hospital. Two of the victims died instantly at the site. Motorway Police have once again urged drivers to ensure they get adequate rest and avoid driving while fatigued, especially during long-distance journeys. An investigation is ongoing to determine further details.
